Gates of Agartha: we experience one of Croatia’s most unique festivals

Last June, we attended Gates of Agartha, a boutique electronic music festival held at Cave Romane, an ancient Roman quarry located near Pula, Croatia.

We went to experience it firsthand, gain a deep understanding of what it offers, and see whether it truly aligned with what we look for at ALLEIN: unique festivals, extraordinary locations, and travel experiences that go far beyond the music itself.

The answer was clear. Gates of Agartha is not just another festival. Surrounded by stone walls with more than 2,000 years of history, the venue transforms every night into something truly extraordinary. Music, lights, production, and the setting come together to create a unique atmosphere, almost as if you've stepped into another world.

Rather than being a large-scale mainstream festival, Gates of Agartha delivers a more curated, visually striking, and immersive experience. It is a boutique format where the location is just as important as the music, allowing every moment to feel more personal and meaningful.

At ALLEIN, we continue to seek out exactly these kinds of experiences: festivals that are not simply attended, but truly lived. Places where the journey, the community, and the environment are all part of the story.

After experiencing it ourselves this year, we can confidently say that it is an experience worth having. That is why next year we will be returning to Gates of Agartha, this time with an ALLEIN group, to share one of Europe's most unique festival experiences together.
